QUIZ NIGHT AT THE BLACKSMITHS

A very big thank you to everyone who came along to our fundraising quiz night at the Blacksmiths Arms, Offham, on Thursday 3rd April, 2025, when we raised another £596 for the church.
A full house of seven teams made for some good friendly competition and, after five rounds of questions plus music and picture rounds, ‘Hamsey Hardcore' were our winners, scoring 74 points.
‘Racing Terriers ’ were a close second with 67 points, while Offham’s ‘Blacksmith’s Boobies’ came third with a very respectable 59 points.
In fourth place were the ‘Quizzers of Oz’ with 54. ‘Decimated Squad’ scored 52, and ‘The Free Traders’ achieved 51. The aptly named ‘Jazzy Dreamers’ lost the plot halfway through and gained just 20 points. Still, very well done everyone else!
As ever, special thanks go to Jazz, Drixi, and the Blacksmiths team, who spiced up the evening with their usual wonderful hospitality.
Thanks, also, to those who donated prizes for the raffle, which included a very nice selection of bottles, a voucher for the Blacksmiths Arms, a beautiful Moth Orchid from McBeans, a Temple Spa gift box, a keg of Harveys Best, and a box of chocolates.
We still have a fundraising mountain to climb, so look out for another quiz evening and our summer Hamsey Church Open Day later in the year!
